Vice President for Economic Cluster Dr. James Wani Igga has pleaded to Turkish government to offer some scholarships for South Sudanese especially in the area of aviation.
The VP made the appeal at Juba International Airport yesterday while addressing the inauguration of the first ever direct Turkish flight to South Sudan.
Igga said that the scholarships would enable South Sudanese pilots have access to training and enhance their skills in aeronautics.
Speaking during the Inauguration, Dr. Igga said the commencement of Turkish direct flight to Juba would allow South Sudanese pilots to strengthen cooperation among citizens of the two countries.
“Bridging the continent, the world‘s largest network and compasses from Managers to Pilots, Cabin Crew, we would like you to set-up in your pilot’s schools, some scholarship to train our {South Sudan} pilots,” VP for economic cluster said.
“This is the key but you know, if you dedicate to people who are also trained, I think cooperation will be to the maximum,” he added.
However, Igga further appealed for unending bilateral relationship between the two countries.
