The governor of Central Equatoria State Emmanuel Adil Anthony has donated 20 million (20,000,000) South Sudanese Pounds to complete the construction of Lainya County headquarters and other developmental projects.
This came after the Commissioner of Lainya County; Emmanuel Khemis Cosmas paid a courtesy visit to the office of the governor of Central Equatoria State Emmanuel Adil Anthony to brief him about the security situation in the County including ongoing developmental projects in the County.
Following the official visit of the Commissioner, Governor Adil assured him that the State government will support developmental activities across the State and Lainya in particular.
In a statement seen by No.1 Citizen Daily Newspaper, the press secretary in the office of Lainya County Commissioner Bida John Lokoyome reported that the governor of Central Equatoria State has on Friday approved 20 million South Sudanese pounds to complete the ongoing development projects in Lainya especially the construction of Lainya County Local Government Headquarters that is at finishing stages.
He said the fund was in fulfilment of the commitment made by Governor Adil during the visit of the Lainya County Commissioner to the office of the Central Equatoria State governor.
“The Governor of CES supports Development projects across the State and Lainya County in Particular, the State Government under directives of the Governor released Twenty Million South Sudanese Pounds to finance the completion of Lainya County Local Government Headquarters, buy furniture and other critical installations,” Lokoyome stated.
The Commissioner’s press secretary said the Commissioner appreciated the continuous support of the Governor and the entire State Government to the People of Lainya County.
He said the Commissioner assured the people of Lainya County that his administration with the support of the State and national governments including Development partners will be geared towards Integrated Rural Development.
The new local government Headquarters and other completed projects are expected to be inaugurated in the second week of September 2022, according to Lokoyome.
