Bol Mel gives residents of Aweil East 25km feeder road

Residents of Aweil East County may regain smiles as the newly appointed presidential advisor on Special Program, Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel offered to construct 25-kilometer internal road in Wanyjok town.

Yesterday, the governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal, Tong Akeen Ngor officiated launching of the feeder road construction.

NEGEV Construction Company, a subcontractor for African Resources Company (ARC) has been tasked to revamp the roads in Wanyjok area.

Governor Ngor appreciated President Salva Kiir Mayardit for prioritizing road construction countrywide.

“First and foremost, we want to thank and appreciate the President Salva Kiir Mayardit for giving directives for road construction in the Republic of South Sudan and this is due to the existence of peace,” Ngor said.

He revealed that the construction of 25-kilometer internal roads structure is a personal gift from Bol Mel to people of Aweil West County.

“We here standing before equipment for road construction of approx. 25km, inside Wanyjok town and this is a personal gift from Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel who promised to construct 25km road in Aweil East County,” governor noted.

Governor Ngor further extended appreciation to presidential advisor on special programs for giving people of Aweil East County a hope, adding that inhabitants have highly hailed the idea.

“The residents have responded and welcome the idea for the construction of internal roads that will ease,”

According to him, the construction of roads would now ease ferrying the goods, trades and taking children to schools as well as will enable the government to provide security and service delivery.
