Why is it important for others to sit and dine when more people continue to live in misery? The economic hardship, lack of basic utilities. Many are crying every day for having nothing to eat.
Most of our people have been staying for 9 months, and there is no salary. They attend their work without complaining, yet their government is not seeing their grievances.
Myself and a few others who dare not silence grievances seen our people are going through will never stop saying it out. As there is time for everything, I know there is a time when we will experience care, love, guidance, and protection for those who really know what it means to be citizens.
One day, someone will come along, and you will be his favorite person. He will take note of your favorite food, your favorite song, your preferred style of clothing, and how you like your hair done. He will learn about your first heartbreak and the name of your first crush. He will remember your birthday, your parents’ birthdays, and their anniversary. He will remember the date and time you said “yes” and even where you were when you said it. He will know where your birthmarks are, your scars, and how you got them. He will discover which movies you love to watch and what book you enjoy the most. He will understand your facial expressions, body language, mannerisms, the way you hold his hand, and the way you look at him.
He will know your habits, both good and bad, and learn everything about your past. He will understand why you have trust issues and how you developed them. He will know about the friends you’ve lost along the way and how hard you fought to keep them. He will learn why it takes you an hour to get ready when he only needs ten minutes. He will know your favorite pizza toppings and how much ketchup you like on your fries. He will know that you love drinking iced coffee, even though it keeps you awake at night. He will find out that you love watching the sunset and listening to the waves crashing on the beach. He will learn about your dreams of traveling the world and your desire to see and experience cherry blossoms.
He will know your ambitions, dreams, fears, and insecurities. He will understand the design of your dream house and the paint job you want for it. He will know every detail about your life, page by page, chapter by chapter, line by line, word by word, and letter by letter. And the best part is, he’ll love you for all of it. Everything about you—the good, the bad, and the imperfect—will be a miracle to him. He’ll read you like a book, and as he turns each page, you’ll see him smile like a child who has just received a piece of candy.
He will know you like the back of his hand, and he will let you know that you’re his favorite person in the entire world. When someone loves you that much, you will always feel their love. You always will. He will appreciate the way you hum your favorite tunes while cooking, the way your eyes light up when you talk about something you’re passionate about, and the way you laugh at your own jokes. He’ll find joy in the simple moments, like holding hands during a walk in the park or sharing a quiet evening together. He will respect your independence and support your ambitions. He will be your biggest cheerleader, celebrating your victories and comforting you through your defeats. He’ll understand the importance of giving you space when you need it and being there for you when you don’t. He will be curious about your childhood memories, eager to hear stories about the adventures you had and the lessons you learned. He will want to know about the little things that make you happy, like the smell of freshly baked cookies or the feel of a cozy blanket on a rainy day. He will make an effort to learn about your culture, traditions, and values, showing genuine interest and respect. He will embrace your family and friends as his own, recognizing how important they are to you.
He will plan thoughtful surprises, like recreating your first date or taking you to that place you’ve always wanted to visit. He will write you heartfelt notes, reminding you of how much you mean to him and how grateful he is to have you in his life. He will be patient with your quirks and imperfections, knowing that they are part of what makes you unique. He will listen to you with empathy and understanding, offering a shoulder to cry on when you need it and celebrating your triumphs when they come.
In a world full of uncertainties, he’ll be your constant. He will be the one who stays, who loves you unconditionally, and who makes you feel cherished every single day. He will remind you that love isn’t about perfection; it’s about finding someone who embraces your flaws and loves you all the more for them. And when you look into his eyes, you’ll know that you’ve found your home. “Public Staunchest Ally.”
