All sorts of agonizing circumstances tend to hit the Revitalised Transition Government of National Unity like objects harshly pulled by a magnetic force of gravity.
Each passing day comes with troubles of its own, since December 2013 conflict outbreak. First the unknown gunmen, then, communal conflicts and road attacks. But before citizens could recover from the calamitous events, general economic crises flicked in, the rising rates of the US Dollar and flood exacerbated.
However, the government must act upon drug shortage, among the numerous stings that factor with unwavering momentum; spreads from one health facility to another, rolling all over the states.
Whereas reports indicate that for the past two years, the people of Domuloto Payam, Wulu County, Lakes State, have been grappling with severe drug shortages, this is a facsimile of what transpires in most parts of the country.
Government’s prioritizing steady drug supply is paramount and would ensure timely repair of the health of the citizens for them to engage in productive activities.
Amidst the trauma of economic hardship, loss of loved ones in communal conflicts and devastating floods, citizens get more frustrated with adding broken health services atop the tribulations.
The R-TGoNU must also in collaboration with partners, forgo other expenditures to avail medical supplies at health facilities in the country to extend the lives of citizens but by excess years.
In good health, citizens can persevere other predicaments and fend for themselves during and after the transitional period, until the government gets better and lasting solutions for peace and the economy.
For peace, even the much-contemplated democratic elections need healthy living citizens.
