Governor of Warrap State, Kuol Muor Muor, has urged primary school pupils not to take their education for granted.
Speaking during the bell ringing for mock examinations for primary eight pupils at Ammy Robbins Primary School, Governor Muor emphasized the importance of education in building a competent workforce that can drive Warrap State and South Sudan toward prosperity.
“It is through education, that the vision of our founding fathers will be realized,” he stated, according to the Governor’s Press Unit (GPU).
The governor challenged the students to elevate Warrap State’s academic standing, encouraging them to make their state a leader in education.
The mock examinations are designed to prepare students for their upcoming final assessments, with 5,000 pupils expected to participate across Warrap State.
In addition to his remarks on education, Governor Muor also addressed issues of land use, warning occupants of government institutions to vacate school facilities.
He vowed to protect all lands allocated for educational purposes and condemned the misuse of power to seize land belonging to schools and government entities, stating “such actions will not be tolerated under his watch.”
