President of Yei Joint Stars FC has tendered resignation to an interim, citing personal reasons.
Stephen Lomdue Martin confirmed to the decision, which became effective from 1st December, 2024.
In a statement, the club acknowledged Lomdue’s contributions and leadership.
“His contributions have been invaluable, and his leadership has helped steer the club through challenges and success. We understand that his decision was not made lightly, but as a club, we respect and support his reasons for stepping down,” the statement reads.
Management of Yei Joint Stars FC assured fans that it would appoint a new president to lead the team to further success.
Yei Joint Stars FC is one of the most prominent clubs in the country.
The team recently participated in the CECAFA Women’s Championship in Ethiopia but failed to advance to the semifinals.
