Newly appointed Kajo-Keji county commissioner loses post

President Salva Kiir Mayardit has revoked the appointment of a newly appointed commissioner for Kajo-Keji county, Yangule Atanasio.

Yangule, who was appointed to the position of Kaji-Keji County Commissioner on 5th May 2025, lost before swearing-in to office. He only reigned as appointee to the office, barely for three days.

Yangule’s revocation through a decree, was announced over state-owned media, South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) on Thursday evening.

The president, in another decree, revoked appointment of Hon. Jackson Wani Mule, as a member of Central Equatoria state and appointed him to replace Yangule Atanasio, as Kajo-Keji county commissioner.

In a separate decree, Mary Akech Mila, Undersecretary in the ministry of Transport has been removed and Ambassador, Engineer, Caesar Oliha, appointed in replacement.
