Unity State Governor Welcomes new officials

Unity State governor, Joseph Manytuil Wejang, on Monday, witnessed the swearing in ceremony of newly appointed officials into Revitalized Transitional Government, governor’s office disclosed.

Lony Majiel Keat took oath as minister of Animals Resources and Fisheries, Kuu Majok Pay, as Chairperson for State Anti-Corruption Commission and Nyapine Tut Ker, a member of HIV/AIDs Commission.

Justice, Duoth Kulang presided over the swearing-in ceremony at the State General Secretariat-Bentiu.

The state governor congratulated the newly sworn-in state officials, saying the journey of the state government is the journey of peace and reconciliation.

“The state is triggered by the flood, but we are determined to protect our people from the devastating flood and must work together as one team to deliver basic services to our people,” governor said.

The new minster of Animal Resources and Fisheries noted that under governor Manytul the state had tremendous achievement in developmental projects and peace building among the people in Unity State.

“The construction of Rotriak-Kaikang road is crucial to the livelihoods of our people and enhancing the mobility of business activities across the state,” Minster stressed.

Deputy state Governor Hon. Tor Tunguar Kuicguong, the State Advisors, Ministers, and Heads of Organizing Forces, attended the swearing in ceremony.
