Dinka Peace Committee in Aweil North County has handed over an Arab man arrested in Gok-Machar in Aweil North County, bordering Sudan.

The secretary general for the peace committee, Majok Deng Kuach said 32-year-man identified as Hussein Jaffer was conceited of murder.

He recounted that the convict who was detained in Gok-Machar, connived with other Arabs to kill a man named Mahmomoud in 2022 over blood compensation.

The deceased, Mahmood, also an Arab, was involved in collecting blood money in Sudan for compensation of dead persons under the pact between Dinka Malual and Rezeigat.

Mahmood was killed on his way to Northern Bahr El Ghazal after collecting money in Sudan.

Mr.  Majok said Hussein escaped from Sudan when the April war broke out and was captured at Kiir Adem in Northern Bahr El Ghazal state and detained at Gok-Machar.

The convict was released by Rapid Support Forces, RSF and tried to enter South Sudan.

“The Committee came from Dhen and it is composed of six people in the committee set up from Sudan and we are going to hand him over so that they go and settle the case in Sudan,” said Majok

He said the head of the committee Abdallah Omar has come with his team and will take him though he was released by RSF from prison.
