Former spy chief and designated governor of Warrap State, Gen. Akol Koor Kuc, has reaffirmed his loyalty to President Salva Kiir’s administration.

In an appreciation letter, following the revocation of his appointment as Warrap State Governor Gen. Akol expressed gratitude to President Kiir for his thirteen years of service as the Director General of the Internal Security Bureau of the National Security Service.

“Your Excellency, it was an honour to serve under your Comradeship in one of the most sensitive and important institutions in the country,” he stated.

The former spy chief noted that it was President Kiir’s guidance and directives “that he was able to deliver and achieve some of the assigned tasks within the Service” and he cherished every moment of it.

According to him, President Kiir is a ‘mentor’ and a ‘role model’ who, without his unwavering support, he wouldn’t have succeeded in the Service during his tenure.

Akol revealed that his recent appointment and revocation from Warrap State’s top seat led fake news peddlers to assume untrue things.

“Despite my little disappointment following my recent appointment to the Gubernatorial position as Governor of Warrap State, its subsequent revocation and the ensuing rumours flying around,” he said.

“I want to assure the public that I am one of those cadres trained, tested, committed and loyal to the Revolution.”

“I will never deviate from the line of the Revolution. One of the basic principles of the cadres of the Revolution is that a cadre is the first to attack and the last to withdraw,” he added.

Ge, Akol stated that “we are still at the phase of being attacked as a Revolution and therefore I will be the last to withdraw.”

He reiterated that as a top echelon, his sincere gratitude and steadfastness in supporting President Kiir is unshakeable.
