NCA to set up Computer Incident Response Team

National Communication Authority (NCA) has announced plans to establish a Computer Incident Response Team (SS-ICRT) to address cyber threats and ensure the safety of digital users in the country.

As part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the NCA emphasized the importance of online security and urged individuals to take proactive measures to protect themselves.

This year’s global theme, “Secure Our World,” aligns with the NCA’s commitment to creating a safe digital environment.

The NCA highlighted the need for critical technological advancements and infrastructure investments to protect individuals, organizations, and businesses.

The regulator advised the public to be cautious online, use strong passwords, and avoid clicking on suspicious links.

The communication regulator also urged the public to be informed on the challenges and opportunities posed by artificial intelligence, such as deepfakes and data privacy violations.

The NCA urged the public to stay informed and implement best practices to avoid threats associated with AI.
