Chief Administrator of Ruweng Administrative Area Tiob Monyluak De Diran, has vowed to revitalize the party’s structures at the grassroots level in anticipation of the 2026 elections.
Mr. Monyluak who is also the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) Chairperson in Ruweng made the remark during a ceremony where James Hang Miniyel was sworn in as SPLM Deputy Chairperson and Weth Chol Kur as SPLM Chairperson for Jau County.
He stated that it was important to establish complete SPLM offices throughout the area, saying this would streamline service delivery and enhance oversight of party officials.
The Chief Administrator outlined a plan to establish SPLM structures from the county level down to the Boma level before the elections.
He urged residents to prioritize unity for the attainment of peace and development in the region.
Mr. Monyluak expressed his commitment to working collaboratively with the people of Ruweng to implement government programs aimed at improving their livelihoods.
He stressed that the unity and dedication of party officials are fundamental to the party’s success.
“As party members in Ruweng Administrative Area, we need to commit ourselves and deliver necessary services to our people in order to gain their trust,” he said.
He urged the Deputy SPLM Chairperson in Ruweng Administrative Area, who doubled as the Deputy Chief Administrator, to speed up party mobilization.
Monyluak appealed to all the SPLM members to focus on development at their various levels of leadership, as stated in the SPLM vision and missions.
He advised Jau County Commissioner and other commissioners to carry out mobilization while delivering services to the people.
In his part, Deputy Chief Administrator and Deputy SPLM Chairperson James Hang Miniyel promised to strengthen unity among members and the residents of Ruweng.
He vowed to work hard for peaceful coexistence of people of Ruweng among themselves and with the neighbouring communities.
Weth Chol Kur, as SPLM Chairperson in Jau County, vowed to deliver services to the people in order to attract membership.
He urged the SPLM national secretariat to provide cadre training to members at the county level.
