The Council of Ministers have endorsed Trinity Technology Company Limited to take the lead and execute the digitalized land registration system on behalf of the government.
The company’s endorsement came as a result of Friday’s Council of Ministers meeting’s recommendation chaired by President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
The recommendation was passed after the Minister of Housing, Land and Public Utilities presented the report for the change of Ailal, a company that was contracted to take charge of the digitalized land registration in Juba.
According to government the change of the service provider came due to failure of the previous contracted company to perform its task, leading to its replacement by Trinity Technology Company.
Michael Makuei Lueth the Minister of Information and government Spokesperson told reporters shortly after the Cabinet meeting that they listened to the briefing from Minister of Land, Housing and Public Utilities, on the change of a company to embark on the digital land registration exercise.
He disclosed that Ailal Company was the company earlier approved to prepare for the digitalized land registration but failed to deliver.
“Ailal company was given the contract to digitalized and register the lands but it failed and could not proceed so the minister recommended the company to be changed and the contract to be changed but Trinity Technology company should be the one take charge,” he told reporters Friday.
Makuei then affirmed that the cabinet has approved the change of the company and Trinity Technology Company is now the technology firm accepted to continue with the process of the digitalization and registration of the land in South Sudan.
