The President’s visit to Bor is commendable
Jonglei state has suffered a lot from both natural disasters, as the floods, and also man-made problems as the intercommunal violence that has left many dead. It is good for the President to go and see for himself how the people are suffering there; this perhaps will give him a better picture how to solve the problem.
There have been so many complains from the area about lack of service delivery to the citizens there. The President will face many questions in the state, especially the question of salaries and other needs. The governor of Jonglei state seems to be a serious man in developing the state and therefore needs the backing of the national government.
The President should also address the issue of the deadly intercommunal clashes in the state. We hope this visit will be fruitful.
