New State officials commit to deliver services

The newly appointed Jonglei state officials on Thursday took oath of office. These include Minister of Information, Chairperson of Relief and Rehabilitation Commission, four members of other Independence Commissions and Commissioner of Uror County.

Speaking to the media, the newly appointed Minister of Information, John Samuel Manyuon said he will work hand-in-hand with his colleagues to promote spirit of teamwork in Jonglei state.

“I am calling upon the unity of the leaders and the people of Jonglei state, our primary gold is to have peace and unity among the people of our state,” John said.

“I appreciate the government of South Sudan for giving us the opportunity to serve the citizens of Jonglei state,” he said.

Meanwhile Madiing Akueth, the chairperson of Relief and Rehabilitation Commission assured the people of Jonglei state that he will be able to deliver all the available services required by the citizens.

“Finally, the change has come not only to serve the people in town here but to reach out to the people at rural areas especially in areas like Akobo, Uror, Ayod and Pangak and other counties of Jonglei state,” Akueth said.

He added that he will take a lead in delivering all the services needed by the people of Jonglei state.

Antipas Nyok Kucha, the deputy governor of Jonglei state welcomed the newly appointed state officials to their new offices.

“We hope you will try your level best as you join this able team of the government of Jonglei state to do the same effort that was done by those you succeeded,” Antipas said.

 I appreciate the outgoing state officials for the good service they had delivered to the citizens of Jonglei state.
