The Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary General Sara Beysolow Nyanti had expressed support towards the Aweil Rice Scheme through the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization, (UNFAO).
Sara was speaking during the official visit in Aweil last weekend.
“As head of donors for field visit mission, we are further motivated, energized and strategized so that we can move and work together, so that we reach hope and amicable solutions to all the challenges and as we work in partnership, we’ll achieve so many developments in various sectors like education and health” Sara stated.
Sara further promised to visit all parts of South Sudan to make sure peace is maintained and sustained for development.
For his part, Tong Akeen Ngor Governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal state appreciated the UN for the support.
He also appealed to the UN agencies to help in addressing some challenges facing communities such as lack of water yards, rehabilitation of schools, health facilities, drainage system, dykes, vocational centres etc.
