The Sudan People’s Liberation Army in Opposition [SPLA-IO] in Western Equatoria State is calling on their forces who left the training on leave to return back for graduation.

In an interview with No.1 Citizen Daily Newspaper on Thursday this week, the Commander in charge of Division 9B of SPLA-IO in Western Equatoria Maj. Gen. Simon Samuel Ali Solomon told this paper that, “I am happy to hear about the progress on security arrangement especially the graduation of Unified Forces, while calling on soldiers who left the training centre and those on leave to return”.

“My message to all the soldiers is, the thing we were waiting for in cantonment is what is going to happen, as now they want to graduate the forces, it needs everyone who took leave to visit their family to go back for training so that their graduation can take place, because I don’t want anyone to blame me tomorrow or next tomorrow, not only IO soldiers but everyone including the soldiers of government. I need them all to go for graduation to get their right, and also I am telling those in cantonment as well to get ready to be taken for training, forces that he sent to training are ready for graduation,” Solomon stressed.

“My soldiers are ready for graduation since, my forces are many in training side just waiting for graduation so that the rest who are in cantonment can be taken for training,” he said.

“The total number of soldiers I have is 3,750 in Maridi and Juba also in Cantonment I still have 750l who are ready to be taken for training,” Solomon said.

“We as party to the agreement on the conflict in South Sudan signed the agreement on command of forces,” he said.
