Government inducts construction of new communication tower

The government through the Ministry of Information, Communication and Postal Services on Sunday inaugurated ground breaking for the construction of the new communication tower in Agugo payam of Tonj South County in Warrap State.

In a statement seen by No.1 Citizen Daily Newspaper from the official Facebook page of the minister of information, communication and postal services Michael Makuei Lueth, it confirms that the Director General of the National Communication Authority, Napoleon Adok Gai and the accompanying delegation has officially launched a ground breaking for the construction of a new communication tower in Agugo payam of Tonj South County.

“In the path to implement the strategic plans for the rural-connectivity in South Sudan, this is to serve people of Bongo to do their daily businesses with the neighboring communities with Warrap State and its neighboring state and to continue to achieve the agenda of connecting South Sudan,” he said.

Adok stated that the National Communication Authority through the Ministry of Information, Communication and postal services is ensuring that rural connectivity is realized.

He commended the Tonj South County Commissioner Agor Malang Agor and the entire Warrap state government for their hospitality.

“This has officially begun rolling out the launching of the Rural Connectivity in Kuajok, Warrap state early this year for the survey that was done last year in the state and some parts of Northern Bahr-el- Ghazal state,” he stated.

Adok added that the ministry of information, communication and postal services through the National Communication Authority in collaboration with the telecom operators are working hard to ensure the smooth delivery of quality telecom services to the people of South Sudan.
