Hundreds of IDPs residing in Bentiu town converged yesterday at the State General Secretariat to appreciate and thank Governor Dr. Joseph Manytuil Wejang for his tireless efforts in combating the devastating flood and providing food and shelters to the flood victims in Unity State.
The IDPs’ courtesy visit was perpetuated by the dire humanitarian situation in Unity State caused by the devastating flood that almost submerged the whole State.
In their categorical formal request, the IDPs urged the Unity state Government under the leadership of Governor Dr, Joseph Manytuil Wejang to continue providing food and shelters.
Addressing the IDPs who converged in the State General Secretariat, Governor Lt. Gen. Dr. Joseph Manytuil reiterated the commitment of his Government in providing all the necessary support to flood victims across Unity State.
Governor Manytuil also pledged food items and plastic sheets to the IDPs residing in Bentiu town and to be distributed as soon as possible.
