SPLM Delegation Arrives in Yambio Ahead Of SG

  A high-level delegation of Sudan People Liberation Movement SPLM arrived to Yambio yesterday for preparation ahead of the of the coming of Secretary General to Western Equatoria state.

As Sudan People Liberation Movement (SPLM) started engaging the grassroots population on the policies and objective of the party, a high-level delegation of the party travelled to Yambio, Western Equatoria State ahead of the Secretary General.

Speaking to the media after their arrival at Yambio air strip, the SPLM member of the State Council, Simon Kuncotch said that they are preparing for arrival of the party’ Secretary General.

He said that, the exercise that would take two weeks with a public rally in the state capital.

“We are here to prepare grounds for the coming of the SPLM SG who will be arriving in Yambio two days’ time,” Kuncotch said.

“The delegations I am heading here are going to be here for seven days to sit and see what we can do as SPLM in the state and also this mission is a sensitize mission, and the mission of SPLM to work out its mission, objectives and also sit with our people to talk about how we make SPLM actual in this state,” he continued.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the SPLM in the State Secretariat, Kennedy Gaaniko Baime who doubled as the deputy governor of WES welcomed the delegation and briefed them about the calmness of the security.

“On behalf of the leadership of the SPLM Western Equatoria State, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome the advance team of the Secretary General headed by Simon and you are highly welcome to the state with the rest of the Delegations,” Gaaniko said.
