An official from Western Equatoria State has reported the killing of two people by unknown gunmen at Sue River of Nagiandere Payam County, Yambio County.
Speaking to Media yesterday, State Minister of Information and Communication Isaac Mursal said the attackers attacked a house in Sue River area and killed the two. He said that government is yet to establish concrete information about the incident.
“In Western Equatoria State, there is an incident which happened in Yambio County Ndiangere Payam in an area of Sue River whereby on Sunday 5pm 2 people were killed in the house,” Information Minister said.
“The suspected attackers are believed to have come from the Ambororo Nomad; as such the government of Western Equatoria State is working hard to establish the concrete information about what took place, and security apparatus has been send to access the situation on the ground,” he added.
The Minister condemned the act, and urged public to be calm as the situation is under control
“On behalf of the government of Western Equatoria State I Hon. Minister of Information and Communication hereby condemn the incident in a strong term possible; and here sending the condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives in the incident, as well calling upon the people to be calmed as the situation is under control,” Isaac Concluded.
