Archbishop lands in Yei ahead of coronation

His Grace Stephen Ameyu Martin Mulla, the Catholic Archbishop of Juba and His Eminence Cardinal Gabriel Zubeir Wako, the Archbishop Emeritus of Khartoum Sudan arrived at the Catholic Diocese of Yei of Central Equatoria State yesterday ahead of the consecration and installation of the second Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Yei, which will be held on Sunday 15th May 2022.

“It’s our second coming to Yei. Before, when we were in the seminary, we came to Yei and entered Christ the King Parish at that time. The main purpose of our coming this time is for the consecration and installation of the second Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Yei, Rev. Msgr. Alex Lodiong Sakor Eyobo,” Archbishop Ameyu said.

He pointed out that the new Bishop of Yei, Rev. Msgr. Alex Lodiong Sakor Eyobo has been chosen by God to bring blessings to all the faithful of Yei River County.

He mentioned that there has always been a good relationship among all Bishops including Bishop of Yei, Torit and Juba and that they were always together in the years of installation especially during that of Yei Bishop in 1986 and Torit Bishop in 1983 thereby their equal faith.

He gave his speech at Christ the King Parish of the Catholic Diocese of Yei on Friday.
