President Kiir mandates Ambassador to UAE ahead of duties

The President of the Republic of South Sudan yesterday directed the newly accredited Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Garang Garang Diing to strengthen the long term bilateral relationship between the two countries.

The meeting came following the Ambassador’s visit to bid a farewell to the President before taking up his new position and to receive directives in areas of focus before taking off to the United Arab Emirates for his activities as soon as possible.

The meeting was attended by the national Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mayiik Ayii Deng.

Speaking during the meeting with the new Ambassador, President Salva Kiir Mayardit urged Ambassador Garang Garang Diing to take up his duties and roles as well as continue to work diligently in order to strengthen the existing bilateral ties between South Sudan and the United Arabs Emirates (UAE).

“Garang, I urge you to take your responsibilities and roles and work diligently with the efforts to strengthen the bilateral relationship between South Sudan and United Arab Emirates being one of the countries that always partner with us’’ President Kiir said.

Furthermore, President Kiir underscored that he believed and trusted that Ambassador Garang has full confidence and potential with high ability to create opportunities that are beneficial to both countries and to steward the mantle of the relationship between the two countries well.

“Upon Garang’s appointment as the new Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, I have every confidence in his ability to both create opportunities that are beneficial to both countries and to steward the mantle of the relations well’’ Kiir added
