Pastor attacked in his house in Bentiu IDP camp

At least one pastor from Presbyterian Church in unity state has been attacked by unknown people on Saturday morning 28 May 2022 in Unity State – Bentiu Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp. 

Addressing journalists in Unity state on Monday morning 30th May 2022, Kai said the attackers came at 2 in the morning “when I saw them I started to ask them who are you they didn’t respond back the question to me they just continuedd coming towards to me within a minute I started to run inside the house unfortunately they didn’t not accept me to go inside the house this the bringing incident” he explained. 

John Kai said the attackers did not have guns but have only spears “they give me injury by spear but am fine and now am recovery”. 

John urged the government of Unity state to provide good security to civilians of Bentiu IDPs camp because the unknown people move around at night; nobody asks them, adding that it is something very unfortunate.
