By Bida Elly David

Central Equatoria State Minister for culture, youth and sports has suspended the chairperson of the States Youth Union and his secretary from running office activities till further notice and bequeathed powers to his deputy to tentatively head until the matter is resolved.

This came following a statement which was claimed to have been issued by the State Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports suspending the Youth and his Secretary from office.

In a press statement seen by No.1 Citizen Daily Newspaper, the reason for the indefinite suspension of the Central Equatoria State Youth Union Chairperson Mr. Charles Lado and his secretary James Sekwat Enosa has not been justified for affirmative clarification.

“In Exercise of the powers conferred upon me in Article 110(1) of the Transitional Constitution of Central Equatoria State 2008 as amended in 2011 and in order of the Republican Decree No.08/2022 read together with Articles (7) of the Youth Union and sports Commission with call of the chairperson of the Youth Commission to further reorganise Central Equatoria State Youth Union. I Hon. Rita Dominic Jada, the State Minister of culture, Youth and Sports of the Revitalised Government of National Unity do here issue this Ministerial Order No: 01/2022 for the indefinite suspension of Mr. Charles Lado Daniel as the Chairperson of Central Equatoria State Youth Union and Mr.James Sekwat Enosa as the Secretary General, Central Equatoria State Youth Union’’ the statement read.

Furthermore, it stated that the Deputy Chairperson would tentatively assume office till further notice.

“The Deputy Chairperson will be the acting Chairperson of Central Equatoria State Youth Union (CESYU) from the date of this Ministerial Order. Issued under my hand in Juba, this thirtieth (30th) Day of the Month of May in the year 2022’’ the statement continued.

Speaking to No.1 Citizen Daily Newspaper yesterday, Charles Lado Daniel the chairperson for the youth Union denied the fact that he was suspended and said he never received an official suspension letter from the Minister.

“It is true that suspension letter has been circulating in the Social Media regarding my indefinite suspension from being the Central Equatoria State Youth Union (CESYU) but the fact remains that I have never received an official letter from the Minister concerning the decree. I can only prove it right if the minister gives me an official letter’’ he said. Furthermore, Charles reiterated that sometimes the Social Media exaggerate things which are not genuine to be true yet they are false.
