Three abducted by unknown gunmen

Authorities in Mundri West County of Western Equatoria State confirmed that at least three people have been reportedly abducted by suspected armed men in Kotobi Payam of Mundri West County.

The Deputy Chief Inspector of Police in Greater Mundri, Colonel Fraser Phelegon confirmed the incident to No.1 Citizen Daily Newspaper, saying that the three boys went harvest honey after when they are coming back home they were attacked by unknown armed group and three of them were taken and one of the abducted man by name Sagin managed to escape away and returned home the following morning but two men, there are whereabouts still remained unknown he said.

Meanwhile the Inspector, Frazer strongly condemned such criminal acts in the area while the country deserves peace and unity of the citizens.

“We didn’t want conflict to happen people are tired and tired of blood shade, let’s come together for peaceful activities than threatening and abducting civilians,” Frazer said.

He further more called on the people of Greater Mundri to join hands together in order to strengthen the security.

According to the police inspector Phelegeon Frazer, the incidents happened on 29 May, 2022 at night hours.
