UMMA Party Leader, Al-fadil meets President Kiir over Sudan’s peace and stability

The leader and Chairperson of the Sudan’s National UMMA Party, Mubarak Al-fadil Al-Mahdi had met with President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Monday in Juba to discuss matters pertaining to peace and stability in the Republic Sudan.  

The Presidential official Facebook page reported Monday Evening that the Sudanese political leader was in Juba where he met President Salva Kiir on matters concerning the Sudan peace and stability.

Al-Fadil applauded Salva Kiir on ‘efforts to bring peace and stability in Sudan through the Juba Peace Agreement that South Sudan government mediated though its implementation has been jeopardized with recent military takeover in Sudan.

President Salva Kiir in their meeting reportedly responded and told Al-Fadil that Sudan Peace and stability is important for the peace in South Sudan.

The President’s Facebook page posted that a Sudanese prominent Politian’s Mubarak al-fadil Al-Mahdi, the chairman of the national UMMA party met President Kiir 6th June 2022 as they discussed matters pertaining to Sudan peace process,

“He commended H.E. President Salva Kiir on his efforts to bring Peace and stability in Sudan, the president told him that Sudan’s peace and stability is important for peace and stability in South Sudan,” the Sudanese political leader was quoted by the office of the President Press.

Sudan has of recent been facing serious political crisis involving armed conflict, sporadic civil unrest and civilians’ protest across the Country since the ouster of the long serving ruler Omar Al-Basir.

The Sudanese long quest of transitioning to democracy is sluggish as ongoing effort to install full civilian government is facing stiff resistance from the military which continuously interferes with the process of transitioning to democratic and civilian lead government.

While, Sudan still continue to face political crisis following the military coup of October 2021, that later led to a power-sharing agreement between the civilians and military entities.
