The Governor Unity State Dr. Joseph Manytuil Wejang has granted scholarships for over ten vulnerable primary eight pupils living and studying in Unity State, Bentiu Internally Displaced People (IDPs) camp.
The study sponsorships were awarded after a group of disadvantaged pupils studying in Bentiu internally displaced people (IDPs) camp wrote a letter to Governor Dr. Joseph Manytuil Wejang, requesting financial assistance to pay their tuition fees and other scholastic materials.
The governor announced the sponsorship on Thursday to the pupils, after he received more than 10 vulnerable Primary 8 pupils in his office from Bentiu IDP camp where the needy school children live and study.
Having received the pupils in his office and listened to their cries Governor Manytuil then granted the much needed assistance to the school children living with disabilities. He had assured them of sponsorship, including their tuitions fees and provision of scholastic materials.
He then advised the vulnerable school pupils to commit to their studies, despite enormous challenges facing them in pursuing their educational.
Manytuil also assured the full support of his office, mostly to the vulnerable pupils or those living with disabilities across Unity State.
Last month Governor Manytuil donated seven motorcycles, and some cash to the people with disabilities living in Juba IDPs camp, to ease their mobility create job opportunities for them to become self-reliant.
