Governor Manytuil swears in new officials

The Governor of Unity State, Dr. Joseph Manytuil presided over the swearing in of State Advisor for Gender, Child, Social Welfare and 17 lawmakers at the State General Secretariat, in Bentiu.

He directed the State official to enhance socioeconomic development and welfare of the citizens in the State.

Governor Joseph Manytuil on Thursday, morning presided over the swearing-in ceremony of Hon. Yoahness Kujiek Ruot, as the State Advisor for Gender, Child and Social Welfare, including 17 MPs from the opposition Parties.

The oath-taking ceremony was administered by High Court Judge, Justice Douth Kulang in the State General Secretariat.

In his key remarks after the swearing in, Governor Joseph Manytuil urged the newly appointed Advisor for Gender, Child and Social Welfare to join hands together with his colleagues to foster socioeconomic and Welfare of the State citizens.

The Governor reiterated the commitments of Unity State Government to provide every necessary support or relief assistance to the flood victims. 

For his part, Advisor Yoahnes Kujiek Ruot applauded Governor Manytuil for the relentless support to the flood affected population, and for maintaining peace, unity and stability among the people of Unity State.

At the same note, about seventeen members of Parliament appointed to Unity State Transitional Legislative Assembly reportedly took oath in State Parliament.

Eight of the State lawmakers are from Other Political Parties (OPP) meanwhile nine of the MPs come under the docket of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO).
