South Sudan National team yesterday jetted to Tanzania for the forthcoming participation in the African National Championship (CHAN 2023).
South Sudan National team has recently organized for a fund raising through the fundraising committee demanding support from the citizens, government and people of good will as they prepared for the upcoming African Cup of Nations which they had determined to work harder towards winning.
The investment team has also been working harder towards improving the accumulation of resources through businesses to support the national team in whatsoever plans and strategies they will be putting to strengthen the bright stars boldly.
Formerly Augustino Maduot the president of South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) said that although the team has been facing numerous challenges as they move for friendly matches and qualifications, there were signs of prosperity towards moving to next level and he recommended double support to moral boost the bright stars to play with courage and hope.
He said that the bright Stars(BS) were capable to make the wining if multiple hands of support are extended to them whether being financially or materially.
In a Statement seen by No.1 Citizen Daily Newspaper on South Sudan Football Association page, the CHAN which is expected to be staged in Algeria next year 2023 will host sixteen countries which include South Sudan as one of the countries to participate in the tournament.
The national football team the bright stars was accompanied by the president of South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) Mr. Augustino Maduot, Vice president Charles Udwar, Mujahid Ali a member for the board of directors, Mr. Sebit Dok-Deputy Chairperson of the National Team Committees.
According to the statement, the bright Stars will be facing Ethiopia in its opening match at Dar es Salaam as on the 22ndJuly 2022 followed by a return match to be played on the 28th July2022
