Body of Late Yambio County Commissioner laid to rest

The body of the late Commissioner of Yambio County, Hussein Enoka Ibrahim was put to rest on Friday last week.

Late Hussein Enoka Ibrahim Bakumba died in the Sudan’s Capital Khartoum on 24th July 2022 after suffering from a long illness.

The Western Equatoria state government, relatives of the deceased and his religious Muslim Community agreed to lay late Hussein Remains at the State Secretariat in Yambio.

Speaking during the burial of the late Commissioner, the Governor of Western Equatoria State Lt. Gen. Alfred Futuyo Karaba said the proposed location for the burial was agreed by all the parties, government, family and the Muslim community in the state.

“We the State Government came to realize that late Hussein served as County Commissioner four times, and for long period so we recognize him as a senior politician that is why as State government we agreed that he should be buried at the State secretariat,” Futuyo said.

“I have one message which goes to everyone starting with myself, I asked myself what did late Hussein do to the people that when his body arrived in the State the whole population of the County came on the road? So what I am telling everyone is we should learn and try our best to see what can we do to the community so that they remember just when we are gone like Hussein Enoka,” added Governor Futuyo

Late Hussein Enoka Ibrahim Bakumba also served as State Minister of Information and Health after he was elected in 2010 Election as an MP in the party of National Congress Party NCP.
