According to Col. Deng Chan Makuach, the police commander in Bentiu, the incident happened on Monday, 10th October unexpectedly.

He said luckily enough there was no casualty from the incident.

“The good thing is nobody has been reported dead during the boat capsizing in Adok River and it’s only uniform and food items that we have lost during the incident,” the police commander reported.

“As someone who is in charge of the training center in Kaljock, I reported the incident to the right authorities in the headquarter in Juba that the boat got an accident in Adok Payam of Leer County,” he said.

Col. Deng sadly said they didn’t recover anything from the boat, both the uniforms and food items were taken by the water.

He now appealed to Juba for another consignment since the boat incident had claimed those military attires.

“We will wait for another uniforms from the national government which will be sent through Rubkona airstrip,” he noted.
