Adil lauds Ezra solar plant, advocates for investment

The governor of Central Equatoria State has applauded Ezra Power Supply Company amid tremendous project for the expansion of power plant through the installation of solar panels meant to improve supply of power to all areas in Juba City.

This move arose during his inspection visit to Ezra Power supply solar energy plant to inspect the current activities and project the company is currently implementing for the sake of improving power supply to all households in Juba.

Speaking on behalf of the governor, Wayi Godwill, Central Equatoria State Minister of Cabinet Affairs said the expansion of the power plant would play a greater role in reducing the cost of power supply as well as increasing the transmission to all areas within Juba.

“The visit of the governor to Ezra power Supply Company was to inspect the place and acquaint himself with the ongoing projects. One is the expansion of power plants by installation of solar panels which is going to increase the power supply and also reduce the cost,” he said.

Minister Wayi underscored that the company has further introduced a batch for the transportation of crude oil from Unity state to the refinery center.

He said that governor appreciated Ezra company for having initiated such a tremendous project aimed at improving power supply in Central Equatoria State particularly Juba city and urged them to invest much effort to ensure affirmative execution of their projects with tremendous success.

“There is also a batch that is being constructed at the site for the transportation of crude oil from Unity State for refinery here and once that one is done, I think the pipeline is going to use crude oil and definitely will reduce the cost.”

“So the governor is appreciative to Ezra Company for the tremendous work,” he said.

In his words, Redento Tombe, a community leader in the area said they are in a good relationship with the company towards corporate social responsibility.

He added that the company has showed commitment to establish a community school as well as render a scholarship program to support learning activities for the sons and daughters of the area.

At the same note, Ezra Ghebrengu, the managing director of Ezra group of companies applauded Governor Adil for his courtesy visit towards inspecting the activities of the company.
