The U-20 young Bright Stars have finally manifested a miraculous sign of victory defeating their third Rivals Djibouti with a goal to zero following two simultaneous draws against Sudan and Burundi.
Lately, the aggressive young Bright Stars drew with Sudan in the genesis of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers only succeeding to have gained a point out of the expected wasted potential with heavy energy that claimed their gravitational victory.
Earlier after the draw against Sudan and Burundi, the president of South Sudan football Association and the entire team emphasized words of courage to the super stars telling them to demonstrate much of their focus through trainings in order to claim victory against their third rivals Djibouti.
Augustino asked citizens and the government to aid the bright stars toward their next match against their next rivals with high determination.
He however convinced the U-20 super stars with the words of courage from the president of the Republic of South Sudan saying Kiir would watch the match through South Sudan broadcasting cooperation (SSBC).
In a statement extended to No.1.Citizen daily newspaper yesterday, South Sudan football Association underscored that the U-20 future bright stars qualified after their three points’ victory against their third rivals to qualify to the next level.
“South Sudan U-20 National Football Team has qualified for the semifinals of CECAFA U-20 Championship 2022 after defeating Djibouti with one goal during a decisive match played at the Kobar Stadium in Sudan” it stated.
The statement stated that the victory claimed by the young stars has paved the U-20 super stars the chance of facing either Uganda or Ethiopia with absolute and brilliant hope.
The Bright Stars scooped the three points topping up the two generated points from the ancient draws driven from their previous games against Sudan the host and the Burundians.
The three points came from the boots of the team’s Captain Joseph Loro who shoot the net through a penalty kick out generated from a total struggle.
“The result of the match means South Sudan is through to the semifinal and will either face Uganda or Ethiopia. The only goal of match was scored by the Team Captain Joseph Loro on a penalty in the second half of match. South Sudan U-20 now qualified to the Semifinals after obtaining the second place with 5 points, while Sudan leading the table with 7 points” it states.
