Algeria grants South Sudan 30 scholarships

Algerian government has granted thirty scholarship opportunities to South Sudanese to pursue courses in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

The office of the undersecretary at the Ministry of General Education and Instructions announced the scholarship.

The Ministry of General Education and Instructions said it was pleased by the government of Algeria for the outstanding scholarships granted to South Sudanese citizens who are likely to study in Algeria.

The scholarship awarded to the candidates is basically on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

At least thirty successful students shall be trained in the fields of electricity connectivity, mechanics, plumbing and electronics from 2022 to 2023.

Kuyok Abol Kuyok, the Undersecretary in the national Ministry of General Education announced the scholarships in a press statement.

He however stated that the successful students are expected to cater for their air tickets meanwhile the Algerian government shall cater for other additional funds for students under the TVET scholarship program.

According to Kuyok Abol, the selected candidates shall not seek enrollment on degree programs.

He invited potential candidates to visit the office of the Directorate of TVET at the Ministry of General Education and Instructions to collect application forms opening from 11th to 16th of November.

The candidates are strictly South Sudanese nationals at the age of eighteen to thirty years old, and many other requirements to qualify for the scholarship.
