JOINT EFFORTS TO HAVE A BETTER NATION THIS YEAR

Starting the new year in a relatively calm state of the union is a good sign. Despite the occurrence of unrest in some parts of the country, generally the movement from 2022 into 2023 started on a not so bad side.

Unfortunately, the absurdities of life in this world are never ending because that is how it is meant to be here. They will never end but that should not mean that we throw ourselves to uglies of the days! Envision the bright side, create it and live it!

The country being on the world’s shame list is not pretty but question is ‘do we know what it means that, do we know the repercussions, do we actually care about who rates us where, when and why?’

“Angelina Teny revealed that South Sudan is one of the countries registered in the ‘shame list’ of the United Nations.” Quoted from last week’s article, defense minister stressed how the never-ending conflicts in the country have damaged the reputation of South Sudan. For a country so young to already be labeled a country not safe to foreigners in this age, it will be more challenging because it is important to have good investments within but the profit repatriations by the few investors that we have herein-leading to no development of the country has been as a result of the insecurities and unrests.

If even our own local people run business worth large sums of money within but re-invest in other countries, like our neighbors, then that clearly indicates how much we need the nation to be stable. Oh God bless South Sudan! Like our national anthem goes. Bless this nation with wisdom and peace.
