Teacher on exams mission succumbs to motorbike accident in Yambio

A 45-year-old teacher from Makpandu who was riding to fetch examination papers for his S.4 candidates over the weekend unfortunately succumbed to a motorbike accident in Yambio County of Western Equatoria State after he had an accident.

The directorate of Traffic Police in Yambio confirmed that the incident happened on the road from Makpandu to Yambio town where the victim fell down and died on spot.

Col. Morris Bakura the acting director of traffic police in Western Equatoria State, Yambio said the cause of the incident is not yet established.  

“Yesterday at 7:30 PM, information reached us that there is a teacher called Ngili aged 45, a teacher in Makpandu and he was coming to collect the examination papers for secondary School students who are sitting for their examinations today, when he (teacher) reached between Rimenze and Yambio Town, he fell down and died immediately,” Col. Bakura explained the incident, adding that when they carried assessment as traffic, “we found that he died because of accident, but the cause of the incident is not established.”                                                                                                     

The Traffic Officer meanwhile urged the people not to overspeed on the road to avoid accident,

Col. Bakura said “For the information, we use to pass to people that they should not over speed, because once you are at high speed, you will not be able to control yourself from any accident, even the white people who manufactured this machine can also fall with it, so this is what happened here in Yambio Yesterday,’ he lamented.
