Adhoc Committee reinforces return of Mundari Cattle in Lainya

The Adhoc Committee has reinforced the return of the Mundari Cattle harders in Lainya County in a briefing to Governor Adil on their Comprehensive finding on ground yesterday.

The dispatched Adhoc Committee instituted by Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony to reinforce immediate return of the Mundari cattle herders in Lainya County which was led by the State Advisor for Legal Affairs, Jacob Gore Samuel briefed Governor Emmanuel on the their comprehensive findings on the situation on ground.

The Committee disclosed that the herders are adhering to the executive Order as they have embarked on steady return to Terekeka County and calls for continuous cooperation from the populace.

They also commended Governor Adil and the local authorities especially the tasked South Sudan People’s Defense Forces for their unequivocal commitment towards swift return of the Mundari cattle herders in the various cattle camps.

On his part, Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony commended the tremendous efforts exerted by the committee and reiterated his Government’s commitment towards immediate return of the herders into their places of origin to create peaceful coexistence between the predominantly farming and cattle keeping communities.

Accordingly, the Committee is expected to embark on another trip to scan around the remaining cattle camps in some parts of the State.

Meanwhile state Minister of Peace Building, Gerald Francis Nyukuye said that all the cattle have evacuated from the areas of Lainya County, and they are now at the areas of Juba.

“We have acknowledged that there are some cattle still at the areas of Wonduruba, and the committee might reach up to there to make sure that those cattle Evacuate, we here to follow what the Governor and the President of the republic said,” Francis said.

Member of committee, Lodu Gubek Nyombe, said that, the committee has been able reach to all the camps to address on the matter of the cattle herders, fortunately they have agreed what the government had said, and all the cattle herders are evacuating back to their areas of origins 

“All the cattle herders of Terekeka have evacuated back to the areas of Juba County, yesterday in the present of Gabriel Gore they have completed 58miles and the last camp in Kagwada maybe by the following days, they would be able to reach to the areas of Juba,” Gubek said.
