By Jurugo Emmanuel Ogasto

A section of government secondary school teachers accompanied by none teaching staff have stormed Adjumani district headquarters at Aulogo II to protest delayed payment of their salary.

The aggrieved teachers and the none teaching staff said they have not received their salaries for the last two months (February and March).

They are seeking for an explanation from the office of the chief administrative officer saying none payment of their monthly pay has made life difficult because they have failed to meet the financial needs of their families.

Speaking to No.1 Citizen Newspaper yesterday, Mr Opi Richard, one of the demonstrators said they have responsibilities to handle in their homes.

“We have children’s school fees and other domestic bills to pay, how do they expect us to do these,’’ he asked.

Furuba Jackson a teacher in Agojo senior secondary school said the office of CAO has kept quiet about their issue.

“His office refused to comment on our office and there has been communication gap between us and his office,’’ he angrily said. Adjumani district has 210 secondary school teachers on government payroll.
