The mind is the center of thought that emits negative or positive images. It is one of the powerful components of the soul.
The Bible has something to talk about it, it’s with your mind that you serve the lord and the human race at large, therefore we should guard the loins of our mind’s jealously because without doing this you will experience uncomfortable situations frequently.
Stress, worry, disappointments, discouragement and many more bad habits are fruits of negative thinking. No wonder that is why king Solomon of ancient times in the Bible has recommended us in the book of proverbs chapter 4 verse 23 that keep vigilant watch over the heart, that’s where life starts.
The heart of man is where his or her life starts, no wonder this what made Solomon’s request effective, he requested for wisdom rather than wealth because he knew with wisdom, you can acquire wealth and everything other you need.
So, your priority as a person is to acquire wisdom and wisdom is comprised of two; there is earthly wisdom and heavenly wisdom according to the Bible. It’s with heavenly wisdom that you can access spiritual benefits and that type of wisdom can be learnt in any institute but only resident in God and his word in the Bible.
Earthly wisdom is sensual and selfish; it’s the one responsible for the whole chaos in the world for example, high divorce rates, prostitution, wars and corruption in countries all over.
James says something awesome in chapter 3:17, says Real wisdom, God’s wisdom begins with a holy life and is characterized by getting along with others. It is gentle and reasonable, overflowing with mercy and blessings, not hot one day and cold the next, not two faced.
As an individual you must know these differences if you want to live effectively on earth as you commit yourself to impacting your sphere of influence and the only way you can impact your world effectively is by functioning in the wisdom of God. God once told the children of Ephesus to walk in wisdom among them that are without.
So, to walk in this heavenly wisdom, you must possess it. Ask it from the father in heaven and also read the word of God for the renewal of your thinking because he doesn’t think the way you are thinking. Let’s look in Romans 12:1 which says I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God, that you present your body as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is good, and acceptable and perfect, will of God.
Renewal of your mind with the word must be the priority of every person who wants to make lasting impact in his or her sphere of influence. God is a God of principles and he values his principles above himself, that’s why he can’t lie like us. His thoughts must be embraced by anyone who wants to function in heavenly wisdom.
Finally, I would like to encourage those discouraged and worried about the circumstances that they find themselves in; your life is in your hands, for it to change you must take responsibility by taking the principles of God to change every bad situation, the word is the solution.
Hebrews4:12 Says For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
The word of God is his sword to change any negative situation you find yourself in and that’s why you must take stand on the word to effect a change on your situation.
Your traditions and philosophies that you were raised to abide by can’t solve the issues of life, only the word has a final effect on any situation.
Colossians 2:8 says Beware lets any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the tradition of men after the rudiments of the world and not after Christ.
So, we are warned by the writer of Colossians, that we should be aware not to be deceived by the traditions, philosophies of men and all science-based knowledge that under-grades the saving power of God that is only in Christ, the only embodiment of truth.
Jesus is the only way, the truth and the life, therefore call him into your life today and start living by Him and Him alone. Without Him in your life, you can’t be saved, praise the lord!
