Social media is awash with appreciation messages to President Salva Kiir Mayardit for shifting Aweil East Commissioner, Kiir Yor to serve as executive Director in the office of the president.
Flooding Facebook early Wednesday, several youths expressed gratitude and appreciation Mr. Yor’s appointment.
One of the youth Deng Garang told No.1 Citizen Newspaper that it was a great opportunity to have the young blood in the state house.
“This (is) superb. It is neither perplexing nor nightmarish. This is what we have been waiting to hear. Young people have to lead. What the president has done is a great job and we are happy for having seen Kiir Yor in J1” he expressed.
Another youth who didn’t want to be identified said that he wanted the President to bring in people of all backgrounds and walks of life to serve the nation wholeheartedly.
“Appointment of the new replacements is good, but the old dudes need to be shown exit as well as their time is up” he stated.
It is the talk of the town in Aweil East where Kiir Yor had been a commissioner, with most people congratulating him on Facebook and the president upon the appointment.
The commissioner of Aweil East County, Kiir Yor Lual was on Tuesday evening relieved from his post and elevated in a presidential decree as the executive director in office of the president.
Yor’s appointment was announced Tuesday evening over the national broadcaster, South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) radio and TV.
Mr. Yor was replaced James Deng Wal, the former executive director who also hails from Aweil North County in Northern Bahr El Gazal State.
As usual no reasons have been cited for the removal of the former director and appointment of the new director who was elevated from the position of a commissioner.
