Minister donates 30 bulls to students

National Minister of General Education and Instructions, Awut Deng Achuil, has offered 30 bulls to students in Northern Bahr El Ghazal State.

“Thanks to you all once again. From here, I want to say that I have given you the students 30 bulls because you are committed and patriotic,” the minister declared.

The minister is in Aweil town for a one-week working visit, where she will officiate an education conference

“I am going to be here for one week, discussing issues related to girl child education and education as a whole,” she said,

Upon her arrival in Aweil town, the minister was greeted with a warm welcome, which she described as the most historical reception she had ever had.

“I am so happy for the warmest reception you accorded me. I thank you all,” she expressed.

Awut appreciated the Governor of NBGs, Tong Akeen, and his cabinet, including the education family and the schoolchildren in the state, for the honour shown to her.

“We are doing this conference across the country, and NBGs is the fourth place we’ve visited,” she disclosed.

The scheduled conference is being held under the theme “Invest in Girls Education to Transform the Nation”.

Minister Awut acknowledged the increase in school enrollment this year as a result of the free education announced by President Salva Kiir Mayardit.

Meanwhile, Northern Bahr El Ghazal State governor, Tong Akeen assured the minister, Hon. Awut Deng, and her delegations of the peacefulness and better security of NBGS.
