He said they are beginning the college with the faculties of medicine and midwifery.

“I want to urge everyone who has registered to come and attend the classes,” he announced.

“We have officially started, though most of the things are missing. We are going to fix things bit by bit as learning continues for the medical students,” continued Ajuong.

On the issue of the lack of proper lecture halls, Ajuong elaborated that they are working in temporary halls till the other well-furnished parts are finalized.

He stated that the earmarked funds will ensure that the halls are done to see to it that the school premises are well constructed, including the fence.

Students who were the first intake expressed their happiness yesterday, saying that though the school lacks enough facilities to qualify it to meet the criteria, they hope learning will not be disrupted.

Deng Garang Dut, one of the midwifery students, said he hopes that his lecturers will not be frustrated like their other counterparts who put an indefinite closure on the university, such as what is happening in Wau, where Bahr El Gazal University is being closed instantly following a tuition fee disagreement between students and the lecturers.
