Aweil North County commissioner urges the community to continue contributing to support development of Malual Centre Payam.
Kiir Chan Wol made the appeal on Wednesday during his tour of the payam
He acknowledges the cooperation of Pamat community building in Malual Centre Payam premise through their own initiative.
The contribution enabled resulted into construction of administration block, youth and women’s offices.
“The building amazed me as I came here in the middle of this year. It gave me an insight to keep telling other members of the society of Aweil North County to copy what this community of Pamat did, this initiative has taken me by surprise,” he noted.
The community’s initiative has inspired other members of Aweil North County to follow suit.
Chan emphasizes that the development by the community and state starts with the people themselves and the government intervene if needed.
He commended the community’s involvement in financing the construction and encouraged residents to continue contributing to the repair of the dilapidated school in Malual Centre Payam.
