A man has lost his life in a tricycle accident when the driver came under gunpoint while driving at high speed.
The tragic incident happened in Aweil East County, Northern Bahr el Ghazal on Thursday.
A traffic police officer, Garang Ngong said the tricycle was loaded with goods and heading towards Majok-Yithiou, bordering Sudan.
The driver lost control and a person sitting on top of the goods fell off and died immediately.
“The driver was stopped at Warawar in the first place, but he didn’t stop when he reached Malith-Alek-Yai and encountered two soldiers who put him at gun-point and he lost control,” Ngong narrated.
The deceased was bleeding profusely until succumbing death.
The rider is admitted to Aweil Civil Hospital.
