By Charles K Mark

Four seminarians are set first ordination by Cardinal of Juba, His Eminence, Stephen Ameyu Martin Mulla once he arrives.

Auxiliary bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba announced on Thursday, that the ordination scheduled for November 11, this year.

He said it will be the first for His Eminence Cardinal Stephen Ameyu to perform after consecration as Cardinal for South Sudan.

“Two are from the Franciscan missionaries, and then two are from the Archdiocese of Juba,” Bishop Santo disclosed.

The clergy said the seminarians, as part of their recognition of their commitments to serving God, will be raised to the order of deacons.

“So, these are blessings that God is giving to us.  We will celebrate these days together with the Cardinal and together with the people of God,” Bishop Laku remarked.

The Catholic cleric, however, did not share details about the four seminarians to be ordained by the cardinal.

The Metropolitan Archbishop, during one of his last ordinations, encouraged the faithful and the clergy to fight against tribalism.

He also urged the servants of God to promote the spirit of nationalism in the country and extend it to all denominations.

The Catholic prelate emphasized the fight against tribalism, saying it instead creates doubts among Christians about the sacrament.
