CES procures cars for officials

By Charles K Mark

Central Equatoria State government has procured six brand new Toyota Land Cruisers hardtop vehicles for some State and Local Government officials.

State Ministry of Finance, Planning and Investment bought the vehicles.

Deputy Governor, Sarah Nene Rodento handed over the vehicle keys to the beneficiaries on behalf of the Governor, Emmanuel Adil Anthony at the State government secretariat yesterday.

She said the mobility means would aid officials in discharging their designated roles in various capacities for the betterment of the people.

On her part, the State Minister of Finance, planning and Investment, Viana Kakuli Aggrey reaffirmed her ministry’s commitment to the delivery of essential services to the people of the State.

In September this year, the Central Equatoria State governor also donated brand new cars to the state women’s union to help them facilitate their activities.

The act was lauded as a move to empower the women in the state.

But some analysts say it was an indirect campaign as the general elections are set to take place in December 2023.

Politicians in the country are also warming up to start campaigns for different positions in the coming polls.

Some have already been seen devising tactical approaches to engage in different capacities to win support and favor from the public.
