Minister dissolves Butcher’s Union

Central Equatoria State Minister of Animal Resources, Fisheries, and Tourism has dissolved and reconstituted Steering Committees of the State Butchers’ Union and its Sub Offices in Juba Market.

Minister Alex Lotiyu Elia, on Thursday, issued a ministerial order to dissolve and reconstitute the Steering Committees.

“I, Alex Lotiyu Elia, do hereby issue this Ministerial Order No.1/2024 for the dissolution of the Steering Committee for the Central Equatoria State Butchers’ Union under the leadership of Mr. Peter Lado Bero and its sub-offices in Juba markets,” the Order read.

The incoming steering committee is chaired by the deputy director of livestock at the State Ministry of Animal Resources, Mr. James Maring Alison.

The minister also deputized Mr. Maring with Mr. Paul Lako Jale, a butcher, and also appointed Mr. Levi Gore Kedia as secretary general of the committee.

Minister, Lotiyu commissioned James Luka Wani as the Treasurer of the Steering Committee, Gabriel Wani Lako for information, Paulino Moro Majak for Butchers’ Affairs, and Emmanuel Bothwill as a member.

The Steering Committee was directed to organize the Butchers Union and the business community in the state.

Minister, Lotiyu also tasked the committee to prepare for Central Equatoria State Butchers’ Union election within ninety (90) days.

The committee is expected to execute this order, from January 25, 2024 date of its signature and issuance.
