Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made unto God. And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.Philipians4:6-7
Life in God is a life deigned by God to be enjoyed in him and you can’t fully enjoy without knowing this principle of not worrying about anything knowing that God takes care of us every day.
God has made everything available unto us including everything that we would ever need in him to enjoy life in its abundance. Therefore, we must buy into the truth of God’s word and see the realities of living a life free from worry.
Notice, in our above opening scripture that we should not be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God, in other words worrying is forbidden in the kingdom of God, once you come into this glorious kingdom you are called into a life full of joy and peace, why? if you really accepted Jesus as lord over your life, then peace begins to dominate in your life because Jesus is peace personified ,that’s why he is called the prince of peace .
However, in the book of Isaiah, we are given an instruction that helps us to execute the place of prayer effectively; in verse three of chapter twenty-six of Isaiah, he tells us that thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusted in thee.
So, it’s vital to know having a peace of mind is your heritage in Christ Jesus; the day you accepted his lordship over your life, peace became your added advantage but you must act on the scriptures given in order to enjoy your privilege of peace in him.
The place of Prayer must be embraced, not many want to pray expecting to experience peace but whether you acknowledge it or not, a thankful prayerful person enjoys unspeakable peace from the father, the creator of heaven and the earth because prayer naturally engenders peace especially when prayer is backed by thanks giving. Many don’t experience the peace promised in prayer often because they don’t give thanks to the father before requesting for a thing.
A prevailing prayer for the righteous should possess the component of thanksgiving otherwise it will not engender results because God doesn’t take pleasure in him that has not spirit of gratitude, a man of wisdom said, it’s your gratitude that determines your altitude in the affairs of life. So, let your lips be filled with thanksgiving always in order to enjoy the unspeakable peace of God.
Many individuals are bothered by the daily cares of this life, man is the only privileged specie created in the likeness and image of God, meaning he possess all the potentials God has because like begets like; we are made out of his material ,therefore we must act in sync with our likeness and image to live the glorious prepared for us before the earth began, no wonder that’s why he says in the book of Jeremiah 29:11 that For I know the plans I have for you declares the lord ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you ,plans to you hope and a future ‘.
The plans of God for your life are beautiful, these are plans to prosper you in your field of human endeavor and give you a future that’s enviable by all your peers.
Therefore, stop worrying about the cares of this life and focus on him, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and these things will be added unto you, that’s Jesus speaking. Forget the past mistakes you did and run your race and surely you will end up a champion in your area of lifting and influence.
Philippians chapter three verse thirteen to fourteen tells us that brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the price of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
No one excels greatly in this kingdom without letting go of the past, there is a high calling waiting for us in Christ Jesus and can only be accessed by for forgetting those things we did wrong or maybe we didn’t succeed in and believe God for greater exploits in him since he promised us prosperity and a good future in him.
Prophetic Confessions
Lord thanks you for giving me a life of peace and unspeakable joy, today I refuse to worry but to give you thanks because my future is bright in you; your plans for my life are to prosper me. Therefore, I seek your kingdom and your righteousness diligently and all these things am tempted to worry about will be added unto me in Jesus’ name, Amen!
Prayer of salvation
Say lord Jesus, thank you for paying a price for my salvation; today I acknowledge as lord of my life. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto Salvation. Am born again in Jesus mighty name, Amen!
